The History of ORC ProTel

1979 Progressive Marketing Services, Inc. formed.
1980 Ruth Wolf, with over 13 years experience with a national telemarketing company, recruited as Vice President of Operations and given equity position in PMS.
1988 PMS executes "spin-off". Ruth becomes President of Pro Tel Marketing, Inc. Outstanding quality reputation and financial stability have been established in the outbound telemarketing marketplace by PMS.
1990 Pro Tel purchases first EIS predicative dialing system. This, together with previously developed proprietary software, now makes Pro Tel a technology leader in the Outbound Telemarketing Service Bureau business.
1991 Topeka Phone Central opened.
1997 After turning a "deaf ear" for many years to "sell/merger offers" from other companies, in April, OPINION RESEARCH CORPORATION, a publicly owned company traded on the NASDAQ (ORCI), and Pro Tel enter initial stages of acquisition discussions based on "good personal chemistry" between principals and prospect of creating something unique in the Market Research/Telemarketing service industry.
1998 Pro Tel Marketing, Inc. acquisition by ORC as wholly owned subsidiary completed as of January 1, 1998 creating ORC ProTel, Inc. Pro Tel organization remains intact, including top management.
1999 St. Louis and Dayton Phone Centrals opened.
2000 Centralized quality assurance implemented with digital recording of sales and digital audio tape archiving. Centralized monitoring.
2001 Creation of centralized database with technology to provide enhanced/cost effective reporting, billing, and additional client services. Topeka call center relocated to free standing new building built to ORC ProTel specifications.
2003 Inbound and web-enabled capabilities are added, allowing ORC ProTel to offer comprehensive customer contact solutions with the same degree of experience and quality we have provided our clients since our founding.
2005 All contact centers are updated to latest version of the Interactive Intelligence (i3) CIC integrated platform.
2006 Non-leveraged re-acquisition by Senior Management of ORC ProTel, LLC from ORC. Company again 100% women-owned.
